  • Life Insurance with Living Benefits
Living benefits are also called "Illness" benefits.  They consist of...

    Critical Illness
Should you ever have a serious illness such as a heart attack, stroke, cancer, kidney failure, major organ transplant and other major illnesses, you can pull money out of the policy's death benefit to be used as you see fit, to help cope with your serious illness and potential loss of income.

    Chronic Illness
Chronic illness benefits also pay out of the death benefit for situations where the insured has a significant health problem that results in their inability to perform  two or more of the Activities of Daily Living (ADL's).  These include activities like the ability to feed yourself, dress yourself, toileting, transferring and other basic human activities that have now become difficult or impossible to perform.

    Terminal Illness
A terminal illness is just what it sounds like.  If you should become terminally ill, as diagnosed by your own doctor, you have the option to receive 50 to 75 percent of your policy's death benefit early, for whatever needs you have at that time.  Upon death, the unused portion of the death benefit is paid out to your beneficiaries.
